1. MINUTES:
Overview;Approval of the City Council minutes of the regular meeting held on July 14, 2015.

2. ORDINANCE NO. 7535: Overview;This is the first reading of an ordinance changing the zoning of all of Sam B. Dannis Unit No. 6, Section 122, Block 2, AB&M Survey, Potter County, from Light Commercial District to Heavy Commercial District, in the vicinity of Grand Street and Southeast 25th Avenue for a beverage distribution center. It is recommended for approval by a 4:0 vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

3. ORDINANCE NO. 7536 Overview;This is the first reading of an ordinance changing the zoning of a 2.17 acre and a 2.33 acre tract of land in Section 229, Block 2, AB&M Survey, Randall County, from Planned Development Districts 52 and 341 to General Retail and a 3.75 acre tract of land to change from Planned Development District 341 to amended Planned Development district for general retail and mini-storage warehouse land uses, in the vicinity of Southwest 58th Avenue and Georgia Street. It is recommended for approval by a 4:0 vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

4. APPOINTMENTS - BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: Appointments are needed for the following boards:
Convention and Visitor Council (3-year terms)
09/24/2014 Lilia Escajeda 09/30/2016
Emergency Care Advisory Board (3-year terms)
Amarillo VA Health Care System (new position)

5. CONSENT AGENDA: Overview;It is recommended that the following items be approved and that the City Manager be authorized to execute all documents necessary for each transaction:

A. Purchase -- Marquee LED Signage for Amarillo Civic Center:
Award to sole responsive bidder: Hi-Plains Canvas Products, Inc./AAA Signs of Amarillo -- $57,430.00
Overview; This item approves the removal of eighteen (18) electronic room marquee signs at the Heritage Room, Regency Room, and North and South Exhibit Halls, at the Amarillo Civic Center. The current signage was installed in the 2003 expansion and software updates and technical support are no longer available. These obsolete marquees will be replaced with new, full color, full motion LED marquees and related software. Funding for the project is budgeted in the Capital Improvements Project Interior Digital Sign Replacement budget.

B. Approval - Additional Paved Parking for Globe News Center:
Award to low responsive bidder: Holmes Construction LP -- $189,990.00
Overview; This item awards a contract for the demolition, site preparation and construction of paved parking for the Globe News Center for the Performing Arts on the east one-half of the block bounded by 3rd and 4th Avenues and Pierce and Fillmore Streets, immediately west of the downtown library. The project will provided paved parking during the construction of the downtown convention hotel and parking garage. Project completion is anticipated by September 2015. Funding for the project is budgeted in the approved Civic Center Capital Improvement Project for Liberty Theater parking lot.
