Overview: This item approves the purchase of heavy trucks and trailers for use by several City Departments which include the Drainage Utility, Park Maintenance, Solid Waste, and Street. The vehicles are a combination of scheduled replacements and budget additions. Funding for the award is available in the approved Municipal Garage Rolling Stock budget.
B. Award - Eastridge Park Splash Pad:

Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Water Parks -- $183,418.33
Overview: This item awards a contract for the design and construction of a new splash pad for Eastridge Park. The proposed splash pad will encompass approximately 1,590 square feet with forty (40) ground spray nozzles around an upright custom "eagle perch" feature in the center. The project also includes a sail type shade structure over four (4) picnic tables providing 1,120 square feet of shaded seating. Funding for this project is available from the approved 2013-2014 Community Development Annual Action Plan. The new splash pad is anticipated to be operational by Memorial Day.
