1. MINUTES: Overview: Approval of the City Commission minutes of the regular meeting held on November 27, 2012.
2. ORDINANCE NO. 7380: Overview: This is the first reading of an ordinance amending Section 2-4-26 of the Amarillo Municipal Code, regarding the use of modern technology for official record storage and access. This change provides for the ability to create, keep, and maintain official City records through electronic or other means.
3. ORDINANCE NO. 7381: Overview: This is the first reading of an ordinance changing the zoning of an 11.92 acre tract of land in Section 63, Block 9, BS&F Survey, Randall County, in the vicinity of Southwest 45th Avenue and Soncy Road from Agricultural District and Planned Development 320 to Amended Planned Development for expansion of existing auto sales operations. This is recommended for approval by a 6:0:1 vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
4. ORDINANCE NO. 7382: Overview: This is the first reading of an ordinance vacating of a 20 foot alley, in Block 338, Holland's Addition and a portion of Southeast 2nd Avenue, north of Block 338, Holland's Addition, in Section 156, Block 2, AB&M Survey, Potter County, in the vicinity of Southeast 2nd Avenue and South Arthur Street. This is recommended for approval by a 7:0 vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
5. ORDINANCE NO. 7383: Overview: This is the first reading of an ordinance amending Section 12-4-5 of the Amarillo Municipal Code, regarding certain golf fees. The proposed amendments will align the days for senior permit holder playing days with the green fee playing days and will also reduce permit costs for senior permit holders, and additional senior family members. The proposed amendment also addresses the amount of the golf Capital Improvement Fee at the Ross/Wildhorse and Ross/East (renovated) course for permit players only.
6. ORDINANCE NO. 7371: Overview: This is the second and final reading of an ordinance annexing a 16.35 acre tract of land in Section 62, Block 9, BS&F Survey, Randall County.
7. RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER CERTAIN CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN CONSTITUTE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AT THE LOCATION(S) STATED: Overview: This resolution sets the date and time for a public hearing to determine if two properties constitute a public nuisance and thereby declared as dangerous structures. A copy of this resolution will be mailed to all interested parties providing ten (10) days notice of the public hearing.
8. RESOLUTION - SOUTHWESTERN PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY RATE FILING: Overview: This resolution suspends the effective date of the rate increase filing from Southwestern Public Service Company for a period of ninety (90) days, until at least March 20, 2013. This action allows the City of Amarillo and other affected entities time to evaluate, negotiate or deny the requested increase. This resolution further authorizes the hiring of the necessary attorneys, consultants and other experts to assist the City in its efforts.
